Hi, my name is Karen Simpson and welcome to First National Wollongong market wrap for December 2016.
2016 was a big year. We introduced swimming pools legislation, new strata title laws and the review of the residential tenancies act. During the year a large number of our investor clients also saved real tax dollars by having a tax depreciation schedule done on their property thru our alliance partner Mitchell Brandtman & Associates.
We have got a big first quarter line up for 2017. In January we will be releasing an our upgraded version of online portal where you can access all your property’s information – from rent statements to tenancy agreements, condition reports and as well as all your invoices. If you haven’t already logged onto our 24/7 secure online portal or had a tax depreciation schedule done on your property, please contact your property manager who will be able to arrange this for you.
January will see the launch of a landlord protection insurance policy via EBM Insurance. We will be sending you out some details of this new policy which has a greater range of inclusions than exclusions and at an industry leading premium.
February will see the introduction of our centralised repairs and maintenance system which will have benefits for you including increased response times and you will be notified of any authorised invoice total before it is debited from your rent statement.
